Cease to See is a six-piece band from the Milwaukee area that blends metalcore, death metal, and alternative rock with a dual vocal approach. They were founded in April of 2025 by guitarists Akio Lam and AJ Grefsheim. Vocalists Brody Schenk and Kevin Carter, bassist Caleb Nischke, and drummer Brad Miller joined over the following months. The band debuted its live show June 19, 2026, at the Bremen Cafe, playing primarily original material to an enthusiastic response. Nordik Battle (Milwaukee) and Heed the Warning (Minneapolis) shared the bill.
The band focuses heavily on groove while maintaining a sense of complexity instilled by the members’ classical training and varied influences like Opeth, Chevelle, and Killswitch Engage. Cease to See is currently writing their first release and is looking to channel their passion through the energy of their live performances.
